Conner Crumbliss named Texas League Player of the Week

Conner Crumbliss of the Midland RockHounds was named Texas League Player of the Week for the week ending August 18, 2013.  On the week the outfielder went 11 for 21 (.571 avg) with 1 home run and 7 walks.  Conner started the season with the Sacramento RiverCats and after a slow start he joined the RockHounds where he has been doing what he does best: get on base.  He is 3rd in the Texas League with an on base percentage of .419.  Conner is batting .278 with an on base plus slugging percentage of .866 which is 1st in the Texas League among active players, but 2nd overall behind former RockHound Anthony Aliotti whose OPS is .993.

Conner joins Stockton Ports first baseman Tony Thompson (Cal League) in winning Player of the Week honors for the week of August 12-18, 2013.

Conner is the 2nd RockHound to earn Player of the Week honors this season.  The other was Anthony Aliotti who won the honors for the week of May 6-12, 2013.
