Michael Choice gets the call to the Oakland Athletics

The Oakland Athletics’s #2 prospect Michael Choice was called up to the Oakland Athletics on Monday.  A day removed from the Sacramento RiverCats being eliminated from the playoffs, Michael found out that his 2013 season will be extended as he joins the Oakland Athletics.  In 132 games this season for the Sacramento RiverCats Michael batted .302 with 14 home runs and 89 RBIs.  He was named a starter to the 2013 AAA All-Star Team and went 1 for 2 in the game.

Michael Choice was the Oakland Athletics #1 Draft Choice in 2010.  He was the 10th overall pick.  His arrival to Oakland is right on time.  Michael spent 2011 with the Stockton Ports where he was named to the Post Season All-Star Team.  During his 2012 with the Midland RockHounds, Michael was named the the MLB Futures Game.
